(My assistant stage manager prompt book, my pencil and the rehearsal set. See New Adventures.)I've forgotten how exacting and time consuming rehearsing a show can be. I think the last show I worked intensively on - as in, went to rehearsal every single day - was in high school. Since then, it's been mostly peripheral. Here for a week, there for a week, design a fancy poster, and voila: show on stage. So far, I'm enjoying being back in the thick of things, even though it means I have no life and don't end up crawling into bed until 2am.
What I
will be making time for, though, is
Sylvie Guillem at UCLA next week. That cannot be missed.
