Free Fireworks

Disneyland's new fireworks show for its 50th Anniversary Celebration is up and running - which means the return of the free fireworks show! Each night that the fireworks go off, you can watch them for free from a fantastic vantage point by pulling into Disneyland's Mickey & Friends parking structure, off the corner of Ball Road and Disneyland Drive, in the northwest corner of the park. Parking is free there after around 8/8:30 pm, and the view is amazing since the parking deck looks over right where the fireworks are launched from Disneyland backstage. The pyro is literally right in your face, and it looks amazing. Especially for this 50th Anniversary Fireworks show, there are some pretty neat effects, including heart-shaped fireworks and smiley face fireworks. I'll try to capture more of those if I ever get down there again. Here are some nice shots from the show:

A "weeping willow" effect.

Some nice, bright, white ones.

A bit blurry, but the picture looks cool anyway because the pyro is so bright.

The finale. The yellow building that is lit up towards the bottom of the photograph is Team Disney Anaheim, the main administration building for the Disneyland Resort.
