Today, in the New York Times: Beverly Sills, Acclaimed Soprano, Dies at 78. I can't believe I was just watching Beverly Sills lead the Met broadcasts only a few months ago. She has brought the arts to so many people, including me. I remember her face and voice introducing so many PBS broadcasts that I eagerly watched, and then introducing the Met movie theater broadcasts that have brought me into the world of opera. Rest in peace, Beverly Sills.

Beverly Sills
Today, in the New York Times: Beverly Sills, Acclaimed Soprano, Dies at 78. I can't believe I was just watching Beverly Sills lead the Met broadcasts only a few months ago. She has brought the arts to so many people, including me. I remember her face and voice introducing so many PBS broadcasts that I eagerly watched, and then introducing the Met movie theater broadcasts that have brought me into the world of opera.
